Without checking first, draw or describe the route from your front door to a familiar place. Then compare it with the real route. What did your memory leave out?
Choose an everyday object in your home. Pretend an archaeologist finds it 1,000 years from now. What could they correctly infer? What might they get wrong?
Find an unfamiliar or interesting word in something you read today. Use the sentence around it to make a meaning guess before looking it up.
Find five numbers being used in real life today—time, price, distance, temperature, quantity, score, address, or something else. What job is each number doing?
